Wild Boar In Serbian Culture

The boar warrior spirit can also be seen in Serbian history. The flag of rebel forces during the First Serbian Uprising of 1804 featured the wild boar as its banner. The boar was represented with an arrow through its head, symbolizing the power and intimidation of the Serbian army 1. This graphic symbolism of the wild boar was also included in other Serbian national emblems.
